Lifting the concrete floor of the early 20th century toilet block. My goodness this was a well built building, it may have been small, but it was well constructed. This is hard work in hot weather, and without the unending support of our regular volunteers, we could not have got this far.
Not much more base to lift now, but the bricks you can see in the background show the amount of material that has been removed since the skip was filled. We will soon be clear of this corner and will move to further shrub clearance when this area is covered in soil.
There is now a substantial amount of greenery and bricks which need to be moved and we have requested another skip from Bourne Town Council which we believe will be onsite soon. We will then be in a position to clear up the spoils of previous clearance work before continuing.
