It is our belief that contact with the public is the way to further the aims of Bourne Preservation Society. As a new society, formed in March 2008, we need to grow our membership to achieve our aims for the town of Bourne, and also the villages surrounding the town. Membership from the villages is very important, in order that they are adequately represented within the Society.

We have held one major event and have been present at other events in our first year. Elsewhere on the site you find a report on our major event, the Garden Party last August, which was a resounding success, raising a considerable sum for the Society. We have also appeared on Bourne Market, and at the Abbey Church Charity Fair, in those cases just to

talk to the public, and explain out aims, and to get the Society in the public eye.  In the coming months look out for us on the market again, and at other fund raising events planned.

On another page of the website you can find details of our monthly meetings, so come along and see us at events or meetings, you will be made most welcome.

Next market stall is on Thursday 10th March.

Appeal

We desperately need display stands, of the tabletop folding stand, or folding display board types.

If you are aware of a source of these items which are no longer used, or required, we would be very grateful to receive them. Alternatively, if you would like to sponsor such items, which cost between £100 - £200, you would be helping the Society greatly. We need such items to be effective, and professional, in our approach to publicity, and reaching out to the community by way of presentations and information events.
